The Opportunity
TechMiners' solutions enable all stakeholders (tech and non-tech, internal and external) to make decisions that normally require deep technical skills & lengthy analyses. Our unique software product turns insights into actionable advice, and powers our transaction services to Ventures and Investors.
Contributing as a Associate Tech Due Diligence (f/m/x), you are a trusted partner to both investors and tech ventures when it comes to assessing technology and aligning it with business. You will
- Identify, contact and win new clients (sell-side & buy-side)
- Build your deal pipeline and client network. Maintain relevant touch points & communication with potential clients on all channels, including but not limited to LinkedIn, virtual and physical events
- Provide input to colleagues in lead generation and product functions
- Within the Transaction Services team, drive both mandate sales and execution with minimal supervision, end-to-end and to our high standards
- Qualify leads, schedule appointments, demo our offerings, close deals, ensure smooth hand-over to the delivery team. You manage project flow all the way to reporting, feedback collection and our structured mandate retrospectives
- Have direct client contact and lead presentations during client meetings
- Represent TechMiners in the market to the highest professional standards, radiating technological competence
- Continuously improve our lead generation and sales processes based on clear hypothesis, data and first hand interaction with our clients
- Maintain and improve our CRM to be the single source of truth and powerful tool for our team
- Participate in internal projects to further develop TechMiners or our thinking/capabilities in a specific area
Your Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in similar roles, ideally in a high-growth venture, VC / PE, consulting or products related to investment, M&A and advisory
- Your professional acumen shows in words and actions when dealing with Tech founders, investors and expert technologists
- You honestly enjoy human interaction, sales and technology (beyond using an iPad)
- You are relentless, with a high tolerance towards frustration and setbacks (note: we do not seek this trait to make you work with jerks or on impossible tasks; frustration is part of any sales activity and you need experience in dealing with it)
- Strong analytical and communication skills. To gain insights, you know when to talk and when to listen.
- Structured, organized and self managed working style
- Fluent English in speaking and writing is a must. German is a big plus, but not necessary
